Artist and debut author Glenn Jones has always enjoyed picture books, particularly the images. As a father, he gets to read lots of books to his three kids and decided it was time to create one of his own. The result is The Rhyming Pirate – a fun, nostalgic take on a classic pirate story with a distinctively Aotearoa flavour.

Glenn and his wife Julia created Glen Jones Art seven years so they could run a business from home while spending time with their young family. Glenn’s work has become known for its New Zealand nostalgia and Kiwiana influences. Glenn Jones Art is a family business – Glenn creates the artwork, Julia takes care of the business, and their kids help provide lots of inspiration.
